Time feels like it has ramped up and is speeding by too quickly. So this month we’re saying yes to more mid-week movie and game nights, lots of neighborhood walks to see the creative Halloween decorations, and a plethora of wellbeing bites to keep us healthy and joyful throughout “sick season”. Come on in for a superfood smoothie the whole family will love, a book that will quite literally change life as we know it, and our favorite inspiration to take into fall!

This smoothie is the perfect way to sneak in an abundance of micronutrients for the whole family, and the flavor is 10/10! ((We love this clean protein, and this one too – both organic and vegan!))

And on that note, monkey see, monkey do: A new scientific study confirms parents’ eating behavior influences how their children respond to food.

We don’t pay enough attention to our feet, and they are the foundation (literally!) of a long and healthy life. Great tips for keeping our feet flexible and strong as we age.

Theologian and philosopher Soren Kierkegaard on the power of walking:

“Above all, do not lose your desire to walk: every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness; I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. Even if one were to walk for one’s health and it were constantly one station ahead—I would still say: Walk!

Besides, it is also apparent that in walking one constantly gets as close to well-being as possible, even if one does not quite reach it—but by sitting still, and the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Health and salvation can be found only in motion… if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right.”
