Sunday Scrolls: July 9th

In case you didn’t hear it enough this week – you are doing hard things every day – and making them look easy to everyone around you. I had that aha moment so many times throughout the week: our neighbor across the street mothering four children beautifully, a good friend with a very sick fur baby in the hospital, the barista with the most cheerful energy despite a not-so-cheerful line of customers. You really are amazing, and we are so grateful to Scroll with you today ๐Ÿ’™. First up, a vegan meatball recipe we’re whipping up for Sunday dinner, a “hope molecule” we all have access to, and bright sunshine to bottle up and take with you wherever you go:

Meals

These vegan meatballs won “Best Vegan Recipe” on Food 52 and they look too scrumptious not to try. As an added bonus, we have nearly all of the ingredients already at home, and I’m thinking you might, too! (PS – if curry isn’t your jam, you can skip the sauce and just go with the meatballs!).

Movement

Have you heard of myokines? New research shows that these molecules are more than the endorphins we already knew from the natural high we get when we exercise. These “hope molecules” cross the blood-brain barrier to produce a feeling of, you guessed it – H O P E, and act as a natural anti-depressant. Read more about them, here.

Mindset

If you’ve been feeling stressed this week, take an extra second to breathe through this slideshow. These popped out big time, and I hope they speak to you in the same way they did for me!

More

We’ve been using these filtered shower heads for 6 months and I can’t sing their praises loudly enough. My hair and skin have improved significantly (we have hard water), and I noticed the difference whilst we were away last week and couldn’t wait to get back to my own shower ๐Ÿ˜†. 10/1o โญ๏ธ

My mom sent this to Grey and he is *obsessed* with all of the experiments. There are so many included and also using things you already have at home.

Wishing you a well + joyful rest of your weekend! After this guy was away for work all week, we can’t wait to welcome him home later today. Grey has a (long) list of stories to bring him up to speed on, and speaking of bringing you up to speed, we have **big news** to share next time! Thank you for being here!!
