Add this to your smoothie for 10x nutrients

When you’ve made a morning smoothie every day for the past decade, you tend to seek out new flavor combinations and boosters to keep things exciting πŸ˜†. Our latest addition is going to be hard to swap out for something new, though, since it’s absolutely loaded with vitamins, minerals and wildly beneficial nutrients ((plus, you won’t taste it!)):

There’s nothing micro about microgreens. Okay, you’re right, the size is indeed micro. But aside from the obvious, they’re quite the powerhouse. In fact, many studies show that those tiny little sprouts contain up to 10 times the amount of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals than their mature plant counterpart. So for today’s smoothie, might we suggest broccoli micro greens? Yes, these little sprouted babies are far more nutrient dense than a whole head of broccoli. And I don’t know about you, but they are far tastier, too – you won’t catch a hint of them on the way down (or that gnarly broccoli aftertaste for that matter).

strawberry greenhouse smoothie (makes 4 tall glasses)

  • 2 cups frozen organic strawberries
  • 1 container of broccoli microgreens
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 pitted dates
  • 3 cups coconut milk
  • 2 scoops truvani vanilla protein
  • 1 T. inulin

Remember up top when I promised you wouldn’t taste them? That’s thanks to our wonderful neutralizer, the avocado. Don’t skip out on that one, even if avocados aren’t your jam. It gives it a velvety, luxe texture, and you end up not tasting either “green” ingredient.

It’s the perfect creamy combo of protein, healthy fat and fiber to keep you satisfied for hours, and helps to meet your daily nutrient needs! Let me know what you think if you end up giving it a try.

Have a well + joyful day!
