Sunday Scrolls: September 13th

Well hello there, friend! Thank you for coming over today – we are so happy to see your face! We have big news coming from the Pack later this week, and you’ll be the first to hear it. Here’s a hint. In the meantime, join us for a cocktail, let’s get organized together, and swoon over some of our favorite finds of the week!

Make It.

We celebrated our 14 year anniversary this week and Jon made us the most delicious cocktail to toast with. The best part is, it also makes a fabulous mocktail if you’re celebrating with the whole family! Bonus points if you pop your glasses in the freezer to chill them ahead of time. ?

Main Squeeze Recipe:
  • 2 cups of frozen organic dark cherries (Costco freezer aisle)
  • 1/2 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • Shot of organic honey
  • 1 can of Ginger Beer (we love Gosling’s Diet version)
  • Vodka

Watch It.

Do you follow The Home Edit on the ‘gram? I’ve been a longtime fan of their ROYGBIV-style organization and was so happy to see they landed a show on Netflix! This is a great watch if you want something to give you the push you need to color code every item in your home. Container Store, just take all of our money already!

Read It.

I was ready for another can’t-put-it-down novel and this one was calling my name. Not to mention, it’s an Oprah favorite, and won the Pulitzer Prize!

Feel It.

I sent all of my best mom-friends this book because it’s one I think all parents should read. My copy is filled with highlighted passages and I make the time to go over them every Sunday to re-discover my parenting perspective. For the week ahead, I am really working on this one (not just for Grey, but for myself, too):

Do you know of a parent who would love this book? Leave a comment below and we’ll let Grey choose one reader to send it to!

Try It.

We all need Apple Cider Donuts in our lives. This is the best recipe I’ve found!

I ditched the Witch Hazel toner I had been using for ions when I found out how drying it was to skin. This is the replacement I’ve been using for a little over a month and I need to share. Tingly in the best way, and balances your skin’s PH to better absorb your skincare regimen!

If you’re in the redecorating mood – this article is SO helpful to get the best furniture – rug placement!

A friend of mine started an Etsy shop when her job was impacted due to Covid. I love her designs and her determination to make lemonade out of lemons!

THIS is a game-changer – the holy grail of hair health. As you might have seen in last week’s scrolls – I chopped 5 inches off my hair with kitchen shears. I started using this hair oil on my scalp at night and I immediately noticed a difference in the overall health of my hair – shiny, bouncy, and most importantly – air dries beautifully once you wash it out. 10/10 ⭐️!

Jon has been pumping us with Vitamin D since March and I have read several studies that show a huge benefit. It certainly doesn’t hurt!

I had been really struggling in the past week with tackling some tough items on my to-do list. What you're worried about is never actually as bad as you think it will be, and boy do you feel the most wondrous release when it's over. Let's get the hard stuff done first so we can really relish those beautiful moments in the week ahead. Need a friend to give you a push? I'm your girl. ?
