Sunday Scrolls: May 28th

Today’s Scrolls is loaded with an easy movement to habit-stack into chores we’re already doing throughout the day, sage wisdom to ignite a spark inside us, and the links at the bottom are many of the jolts that jumped out at us during the week, and we hope might do the same for you! We’re overjoyed to see you today, kind friend. Come on in!

Meals

As the temperatures warm up, I find myself craving something light for a snack, but when the hanger kicks in, “we have no food in the house”. I meal-prepped these frozen yogurt bars this week and they have been a delight! Easy to whip up, and packed with that trifecta (fiber, fat, and protein) we need to keep us satiated longer 🙌🏽.

I used this mold, poured in cashew yogurt, then topped with sprouted pumpkin seeds, no-sugar-added cranberries, and raspberry chips. You can add anything that sounds yummy to you. Freeze for an hour and they’re ready to enjoy any time you are!

Movement

No matter where you are on the movement spectrum, ankle weights can help build stamina, strength, and are incredibly easy to add into your day. Many times, I don’t wear them during a walk or a workout, but rather when I’m just doing simple tasks around the house (vacuuming, laundry, making dinner). You notice they’re on, but the immediate feel is pretty subtle – you can still move with ease, just a little extra pop! It’s the day after where you notice you’re feeling tighter in your calves and they have so many wonderful benefits – versatility, and my favorite – they help build bone density over time! Here are the ones I use and love – 5 ⭐️.

I love dresses like this in the summertime. Easy to throw on and look put together (comfy, too!). Oh, and this dreamy jumpsuit!

Have you seen Air yet? We watched it last night and loved it (Matt Damon was fantastic and although Jason Bateman didn’t have a ton of scenes, I am a super-fan of his so it was nice to see him!). It’s free on Prime Video. And if that’s your jam, you must watch The Last Dance series. We watched it years ago and I want to re-watch now – wildly interesting!

Thank you for being here on this beautiful long weekend. One of the things I love most about McKinney is how much they celebrate our veterans and our service men and women. Our streets are lined with red, white and blue, and we are so proud to be flying Old Glory out front today. What a tremendous honor 🙏🏻. Thank you to all who came before us to fight for our freedom, those currently serving, and all who dedicate their lives to protecting ours. God Bless you 💙.
