Sunday Scrolls: Last Day of May

The days might drag on, but my goodness are these months flying by! Today, we’re following suit from last weekend and piling in the car to find a nature preserve outside city limits. I can’t wait to soak up the sunshine, breathe that beautiful country air, and help Grey keep a tally of all the new animals we see on our hike. Happy Sunday, fellow homebody. Thank you for spending a few minutes with us today!

Strawberry Sorbet Cocktail! Let’s kick this off with a new cocktail, shall we? It even tastes great as a mocktail. Blend all of the ingredients below (except the garnish), and serve immediately. If we’re feeling fancy, might I suggest rimming the glass with sugar, flecks of basil and the rind of the lemon?

  • Strawberries – fresh or frozen if you want it to be more of a slushy marg vibe.
  • Lemon Sorbet
  • Vodka
  • Ice
  • Lemon slices,  fresh strawberries and basil to garnish.

The Alice Network. This bestseller has been on my nightstand this week and I’ve been up reading long after my two guys hit the sheets. It is a mesmerizing novel about the role women spies played during war. It takes place between two women in two different eras, and while that back and forth in time isn’t usually my favorite, it was easy to follow and a beautiful read.

Rainbow Seed Bombs. Have a friend who needs a pick-me-up? I stumbled upon these sweet little diddies whilst down a rather large Etsy rabbit hole. They are less than $10, loaded with various flower seeds, and in this happy rainbow packaging. JOY!

Business Casual? I have a big work meeting this week and I’ve been trying to get a feel for what the “new normal” looks like for workwear. Right now I have this beauty and this jumpsuit in my cart. Help me choose, please!

This was one of my favorite insta feed finds of the week and I followed immediately. What a beautiful mantra to re-read before bed.

Have the most sensational rest of your Sunday! How are you savoring the last seconds of May? We’d love to hear in the comments below!
