Sunday Scrolls: July 19th

Hello, lovely! How was your week? I’m writing this with my toes in Grey’s baby pool, covered in sunblock, and joyfully sourcing all the ways to stay cool when the heat index is well over 100 degrees. A good starting point – item numero uno below:

Make It.

Our neighbor generously gifted us a huge bunch of mint from her patio garden, and we were really craving a cool-down cocktail. Want to join us for a drink? Blend together the following ingredients in your smoothie maker for our (Lite) Coco Cooler:

  • A full can of coconut milk (we used an organic lite version)
  • Juice of two limes
  • 6-8 mint leaves
  • 1 shot of honey (bonus for local honey!)
  • Vodka
  • Ice

Watch It.

You might have noticed the wanderlust pulsing through our posts lately. Come to think of it, it’s very likely a subconscious form of manifestation, in hopes we can open up travel possibilities in the near future. We’ve been streaming this series by Kara and Nate and I’ve started keeping a notes tab on my iPhone of all the wondrous places we want to visit. If you haven’t seen it yet it is absolutely worth a watch. They have visited 100 countries and counting, have such a unique POV, and they emanate JOY through the screen.

Read It.

Nothing on my nightstand this week was good enough to pass on to the book club. Sorry, friend. But this one? Rave reviews. She arrives tomorrow and I can’t wait to dive in.

Grey’s pick is this one from his new favorite author, Mo Willems. I adore the messages in his children’s books and the values he shares through his stories.

Feel It.

I’ve really been seeing the fruits of this lately and wanted to share. Even if you’ve heard it before, read it again (and maybe again), and let it seep in. If you stay mindful as you go about your day today; I genuinely believe it will impact the trajectory of your week, your relationships, and blessings that belong to you in ways you can only imagine: ??

What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.

Try It.

Whether you’re congratulating a friend on their new home, homesick for far away family, or just wanting a cute little casa for your own place; this makes the sweetest gift.

Mental health check-in. How are you doing? Same ??‍♀️. Ups and downs and all arounds. But this just in – new research shows that we can eat our way to better mental health. ((I need to be better about the presence component, and slowing down.))

And on that note – I finally found out my Dosha type. Do you know yours?

We just bought this. Remember me telling you how much we were loving Down To Earth? We were so inspired by their trip to London, and want to do something, anything, to make a difference even in the small ways we can. We’re going to do a family garbage walk every Sunday and help pick up litter in our neighborhood.

YES to all 17 of these Insanely Easy Habits That Will Change Your Life! Especially number 5, which I am still going strong with and highly recommend.

These butterfly earrings ?. They are even more swoon-worthy in person and look far pricier than this sale tag shows. Use code WEEKEND for 20% off!

Have a tremendous rest of your weekend. You are a treasure. The undiscovered kind buried at the bottom of the ocean with loads of gems and gold. Really ?.
