Sunday Scrolls: January 29th

I felt so inspired this week with big things cooking in The Well of Joy. Did you know the planning process is where the real nuggets of joy are buried? As you’re working toward a goal, you get small drops of dopamine into your well with each step forward, and it can be even more satisfying than achieving what you’re after. I hope your well is brimming today, and if not, we have some inspiration inside (meals, movement, mindset & more) to get you there:

Meals

We made the most flavorful, layered, nourishing superfood sweet potato bisque and couldn’t wait to share this recipe with you. There’s a secret ingredient we’ve never thought to add to soup before – but it was a game changer! And how about lemon shortbread cookies for dessert?!

see the recipe + secret ingredient, here!

Movement

What commitment can you make to yourself today to move your body? It can be anything from starting a daily habit of stretching when you get out of bed in the morning, or maybe you’re in the middle of a snowstorm so you head to the mall to walk. The point isn’t necessarily the form of movement, it’s the promise you make and keep that trains your body and mind to expect it, to celebrate it, and to enjoy it.

Here’s this week of walking, rain or shine. I’m on Day 108 of a promise I made to myself to walk 3 miles outside each day, for 365 days, no matter what. There are some days (like the freezing rain day) where I have little interest to go. But I smiled all the way through it. It’s hard not to when you’re looking for the good!

Mindset

We have an abundance of gratitude for all of our January Joy Jolts – real life moments that filled our well. And for our mindset shifts – the second quote was one of those gut punches, a real truth bomb. Which one is an aha for you this week?
