Sunday Scrolls: January 22nd

Jan 21, 2023 | Sunday Scrolls

It was the most joyful week in the Nixon house as we celebrated Grey the Great turning 7! More on that later, but first let’s dive in to an exciting new addition to our community, a transformative mindset shift for the week ahead, and a meal idea to boost your heart + brain health. We’re so glad you’re here!

Meals

I came across this little nugget of wisdom on tomatoes just as I found some organic baby heirlooms at Trader Joe’s. I roasted them in the oven on low heat (325) for an hour with a super nutty olive oil and fresh garlic. We paired it with toasted sourdough bread, smashed avocado, and spicy arugula micro greens. It was scrumptious!

Movement

If you need a friend to cheer you on with whatever goals you’re working toward this year – we volunteer for the job 🙋🏼‍♀️. We started The Well of Joy community on Facebook as another outlet to cultivate a well + joyful life through fun monthly challenges, healthy habit stacking, mindfulness exercises, and fresh recipes. My hope is that in sharing these practices and protocols with a group of like-minded, kind-hearted humans – it will help us all stay motivated and moving forward toward our goals.

I’ll post a little nugget there daily in an effort to help educate, empower, and inspire a well and joyful life – we’d love to have you be a part of the movement 💙. Click here, scan the QR code, or search “Well of Joy Community” on Facebook.

Mindset

Which one speaks to you this week? I’m all about 1,4, and especially 5 💙.

We woke Grey up with a room filled with LED balloons, went race car driving, ate a decadent vegan + gluten-free brownie cake, and are finishing the weekend with family pedicures today after Church 😍.
