Sunday Scrolls: August 20th

Are you still feeling those summertime vibes or have you started craving fall? We’ve spent a great deal of time in the desert and I have to admit, the idea of putting on an autumn sweater sounds so nice right about now 😆. One of my very favorite parts about putting Scrolls together lately is that traveling this gorgeous country has helped to peel off some of the goggles I’ve been wearing and has helped to excite, inspire, and motivate us in all the ways I’ve been praying for. We are so thankful! And so grateful to share a slice of Sunday with you:

Meals

A little nudge to change up your pizza game if you feel so inclined! Our family does a homemade pizza & movie night every Friday, and the method has morphed quite a bit over the years. From the Ooni outdoor pizza oven to our regular ol’ kitchen oven. While we used to be able to tolerate a traditional dough, we now have to go for a gluten-free crust or intense itching ensues.

If you’re looking for a vegan, gluten-free crust, we have tried them all and 10/10 recommend this one. They will feel a little mini coming out of the box, but that’s what’s fun about them. They are little personal doughs that you can top any way you like, or go with multiples and switch up the toppings. I recently had this pizza at our fave vegan g-free spot in Arizona and it inspired me to vary the veg on top! This smoky chipotle drizzle was outstanding – here’s a great recipe if you want to try the sauce.

Movement

Looking for a mood boost? Any type of exercise is proven to help, but this particular workout was designed by psychologist Kelly McGonigal who has taught group exercise classes for more than 20 years. It’s based on six research-based moves that can be done as slow or as fast as you like, standing or seated, to increase feelings of JOY!

Mindset

We must release what absorb. That one really hit me! Which nugget sticks out for you today?
