This year I vowed to celebrate the mundane as much as the milestones. I set an intention of filming a second or two of each day so that we could find joy in the minutiae. Our start to the New Year was not at all what we anticipated, but we came out of it stronger as a family. Thank you for watching, and for being here with us ?.
January has so much pressure on it, of all the months. But so far, we’re still joy-seeking and pancake eating, and I’m so thankful for these sweet faces I get to do it with ? I hope the start to your year was just as joyful, and that the best is yet to come.
Next month, our goal is to spread more love, and send cards to family and friends, near and far, to help them feel just how special they are to us. We have this beautiful reminder in our home from my Dad that shares these wonderful nuggets of wisdom. One of my favorites, is that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. We can give that gift to everyone around us, and it doesn’t cost anything. Just a little extra kindness. Thank you for being with us today. If I’ve learned anything lately, it’s that it really does take a village. But it doesn’t have to be the old kind of village. It can be one done your way. With friends from all walks of life, dispersed from here, there and everywhere. People who will lift you up when you are down and push you to be the you they know you can be. We’re lucky to be in this village with you.
You are an incredible motivational speaker. Your video is wonderful and your voice is soothing and your knowledge and wisdom just lift me up! You are an inspiration to all?
Jan, my voice has never been called soothing before. People used to call in to Bridge Street to complain about it ?. The kindest compliments from a wonderful friend!! THANK YOU! XOXOXO
