10 affirmations to get you through holiday anxiety

I don’t think any of us need an in-depth intro explaining all of the stressors of the holidays. You know all about the feelings that start bubbling up when it comes to travel, visiting family, rising costs of absolutely everything on our list and being pulled in every direction except the one you want to go. I understand. Sit with me a moment and repeat these 10 mantras when you need them the most:

I am safe. There are no imminent threats around me. All is well.

I am in charge of my thoughts, my actions, and my words.

I control the intention I bring to every situation, and I lead with compassion and kindness.

I look for the good, and I will find it.

I was given this day, this moment, this challenge for a reason. I’m here for it.

I can do hard things. I’ve done them before, and I come out stronger every time without exception.

I am a light and a source of love to everyone around me.

I have a unique ability to change my perspective and shift my focus.

I can always find *something* to be grateful for, no matter what situation I am in.

I choose to seek joy in this moment.

It is my great hope that even one of these affirmations allowed you to give yourself a moment to take a deep belly breath. A massive inhale that re-energized every cell in your body to remind you of exactly what you’re capable of, and allowed you to re-examine the situation with a fresh perspective. Don’t allow yourself to get sucked into the negativity hole that people have normalized this season. Instead, let’s be the joy-seekers, the love-leaders and the souls who shine as bright as those majestic Christmas lights. A big hug and deep gratitude for you 💙. XO, Kaylea
