We made it through another week, homebodies. Speaking of, now that we’re finally getting some buds on the trees (and out for more socially distanced strolls) we’re back to posting swoon-worthy homes on the ‘gram, @chicagohomebodies. We’d love to say hi over there if you like eyeing new curb appeal trends as much as we do! Here’s what else we’ve been up to this week:
If you follow our daily boomerangs, you might have seen me rocking a headband or twelve. I am all in on this trend and pray it doesn’t go out of style before my hair gets out of this awkward stage ???. Whether I’m in athleisure for a day of homeschooling, or trying to pull myself together for a zoom; headbands are my go-to trick to look pulled together (even when I feel far from it). This one is chic and actually comfortable, and this darling number is perfect for a work call, or your next wine zoom with your quarantine crew.
Did you see the ultimate Pinterest Queen and her rainbow prince this week? I loved the relatability of it! (Also the craft idea because mama needs some new inspo). We tried it with Grey and he loved it. Going to send a few to his grandmas to brighten their fridge!
Can we please make these together this week?! Because, I don’t want to be the only one in the Covid-19 pound club ??. Had you heard that one yet? I had only heard “Quarantine 15” until recently. But really, we need to make them because ohmygoodness they look divine!
My friend Meg George of George Development Group was so kind to interview me for her Leadership Series this week and I was so thankful to be a part of it! We covered work from home tips, interior renovation & design trends, and balance parenting during this crazy time.
Sometimes a little gut-punch called perspective pops up right when you need it the most. This human, and his mom, made me cry. Please pop over to @humansofny to read his story ?.
One of our neighborhood strolls this week brought us to a spot in Lincoln Park with a beautiful view of downtown. I felt a deep longing for this city that I love so deeply. Isn’t it such a strange feeling to long for somewhere you actually are physically, but can’t touch? I’m sure you’re feeling the same wherever you’re reading from today. Thank you for this magical shot, @barrybutler9.
And leaving you with this quote to start your week. One of my favorite reminders – always being careful to appreciate that everything I ever prayed for is right in front of me.
Hi NixonPack Stay Safe and Well
You do the same, Jim! And thank you for stopping by!
