Happy Friday, friends! In my opinion, there is nothing like the feeling of a weekend ahead and the promise of projects to keep the Pack busy morning ’til night. I can smell the fresh paint in the air already. Mmm, so good. I am ever so grateful for my #nonstopnixon and how hard he works for us. The progress we have seen these past few months has been incredible. Also, I never thought I’d say this, but I can’t wait for a rainy day. I always feel so guilty working inside when the sun is shining!
#NixonPack Honey-Do List for the weekend of August 11th:
→ MAJOR PROJECT: Start home office remodel. I’ve been working Indian style from my bed since March and it’s high time for a proper desk. Work is getting busier each week and my back is screaming for some support. First step – paint! This is the last of the vomit colored mustard paint in the house and we’re saying “Bye Felicia!” this weekend.
→ Pressure wash the house and paver walkways. I don’t know about you, but our curb appeal has taken a hit in recent weeks with an influx of weeds and flowers in need of pruning.
→ Begin fall cleanup of flower beds. What? Why?! Summer isn’t over yet!
→ Complete sitting room fireplace renovation. The tile and grout are done. Now we just have to finish the molding surround and style all of the bookshelves (my favorite!).
→ Treasure hunting. We have a few estate sales and salvage shops mapped out to hunt for a vintage desk and tall bookcase for the office. Wish us luck!
→ Repair Guest Suite shower. A lot of times when you buy a home, unexpected issues come up that a home inspection failed to uncover. For us, it was the guest bathroom shower – it only runs cold water. Jon wanted to leave it as is so people didn’t overstay their welcome. (insert eye roll here). We love our guests!!
I have a feeling Jon will be adding to this list as we go. Follow along on our Insta stories for the before & afters and more!
(PS – You may have figured out that not a lot of sitting happens in the #NixonPack household. Thus, this featured image of Jolea lounging on our outdoor sofa that has never been sat on.)
