I’ve been sitting Indian style on my bed, typing away at the laptop while simultaneously scrolling the depths of the internet and flipping through magazines for inspo for the past six months. All while a snoring chihuahua takes a nice, deep stretch and deletes my justabouttobefinished mood board. Sigh. It’s high time for a home office. We have a blank room that is an empty canvas just waiting to inspire all of our future #NixonPack projects. I am looking for something cheerful and bright, and skewing feminine. Heck, who am I kidding? This is full on pink blush and I am loving it!
For those of you who saw the paint color on our Insta stories and worried about my manly husband, fear not! Jon has a full basement and an entire garage workshop (heated!) to call his own. He derives his inspiration from the smell of fresh cut lumber, tools and popping open a new gallon of mastic. Mine comes from lush fabrics, paint swatches and art that makes me smile. Thus, a sneak peek at the mood board before we start seeing big changes in the space. I can’t wait, and neither can my aching back.
PS – I ordered several pieces from a fabulous artist I found on etsy. In addition to donating to the Red Cross, #NixonPack will be seeking small businesses in Texas to support to try help in other ways (albeit small, every bit helps).
