Pack Picks

Can you believe it’s Valentine’s weekend already? We’ve never been big on celebrating this holiday because it should be a big ‘ole love fest year-round, amIright? Plus, this chick is not paying $7 for a card. Sorry, Jon! So today, I’m offering some fabulous finds that will help fill your home with love for your better half, your pet, or just for you. You definitely deserve better than a box of chocolates.

  1. Gold Flatware. I have been dreaming about new utensils for years. It’s something that always gets put back on the shelf because the set we have is a hand-me-down, but good enough. However, this year we’re resolving to eat at home more often and what better way to heighten your dining experience and impress your guests than with flatware with flair?
  2. Shout it out. Cards are nice and all, but now you can write honey-do demands, grocery lists,  love notes all year long. Jon and I own this one and we have so much fun putting up our favorite song lyrics, jokes to make each other laugh, and special greetings when friends stop by. #NixonPack Tip: Buy an extra bag of letters. I’ve been at the end of a quote without an extra “e” too many times to count.
  3. Sake-llents. We used to go out for sushi date nights to celebrate this day of love, but I’m just not feeling the “special menu” and crowded tables this year. Instead, I’m planning on popping our own bottle of sake and arranging these as part of the tablescape.
  4. Catnaps. You guys. Can you stand it? I’ve never been a fan of pet paraphernalia that doesn’t go with our decor. Now we obviously don’t have any cats in the Pack, but I will most definitely be contacting this lovely shop to see if they can craft these for the pups.
  5. Wishbone Chair. Ok, I’ve told you I’m all about the budget-buys. Talk about luxe for less. This chair is only $129 and you’d never be able to guess the price, even up close. The faux Mongolian fur is everything. It’s the perfect soft juxtaposition to the lines of the wood and bonus – it’s super comfy. I snagged two at Target and I wish I could put one in every room.
