Everyone goes a little lighter in spring, right? Even my raven-haired friends put a touch of caramel in when the sun starts shining brighter. And lately we’re seeing that pop up more and more in the interior design realm. Read on to see the latest trend in wood hues and let us know what you think – do blondes really have more fun?
Accent pieces. Here’s a great way to try out the trend without having to go all-in on, let’s say, pale hued hardwoods. (But can we pin that for a future project?!) We have been loving the look of cane lately and this piece from Eclectic Goods is a dreamboat.
Doors and Trim. So take this from a couple who just painted every square inch of walnut trim white – I do miss the wood look, a bit. But definitely not the drab, dark walnut paired with stale, mustard colored walls we started with. This airy oak version from @beckiowens is so pleasing to the eye and adds the perfect depth to the space.
Headboard. So if you’re with me and can’t go all in on those dreamy doors, what about a bedroom refresh? The look of this handcrafted rattan piece screams summer and paired with a gauzy, white, cushy duvet? Yes, please!
Swap Stools. If you live in a cold-weather climate like we do, these Oceanview Counter Stools might not feel appropriate in the dead of winter when you trudge in with snow up to your kneecaps. But this would be a whimsical way to lighten up your space and swap in for a fresh look during spring and summer and store for the remainder of the year.
