We’re still ironing out the details, but this is the general vibe for the quick refresh on the main floor powder room that we’re trying to make happen in record time. I challenged Jon to a half-day project since it’s a half-bath, and he seemed up for it…ish.
This is the state of the current space. It’s clean looking (when the stainless steel top is not splattered with water drips, soap blobs, and toy dinosaurs), but it’s definitely outdated in the sense of the aforementioned stainless top, prison-esque faucet, and really not much to make it pop.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – this is one of my favorite rooms to redo because you can do it on a budget and get a Big Bang for your buck! If you only have eight seconds to make a great first impression, and your guest, or your potential buyer has to pee – voila! Your hard work paid off.
We’re going with a soft palette with warm undertones, but layering in different textures and materials so it feels thoughtfully curated enough to flow into the sister spaces on that level.
While I have you, can we take a vote? Do you like the wallpaper you see above? Or are you feeling the owls below?
Would love to hear your feedback in the comments! Thanks for stopping by today. We can’t wait to show you the progress on stories as soon as materials start rolling in!
Love them both, but my fav is the owls. Great taste, Kaylea
